We Were Cruisin’!

Last week, a group of our residents went on a two-hour Betty Lou Cruise on Lake Mendota.  Some of the most exciting sights seen on the cruise were the Governor’s Mansion, State Capitol, UW Campus, natural areas, and some lakefront estates.

“It was a fun & relaxing experience for everyone who attended,” said Lauren Banks, our Activities Coordinator.  She added “for the residents who had never seen Madison from this viewpoint, it was especially memorable.”  Lauren can’t wait for the next resident adventure!

The fish fry dinner on the cruise included all of the traditional Wisconsin sides plus a famous clam chowder and house made desserts.  A complimentary glass of wine, beer, or a brandy old fashioned rounded out the meal.

Staged Model Open!

We are beyond excited to now have one staged apartment home available to show during the weekdays (with a scheduled appointment)!  This is our popular Ash2 floor plan with 2-bedrooms and 1-bathroom.

“It’s fun to see how furniture fits in each room,” says our Retirement Living Advisor Stacie, “but it is also very helpful for many people to see the space furnished.”

Testimonial from the Family!

Excellent Customer Service Evaluation Form

Our staff recently received a beautifully written letter from the children of former residents and we wanted to share it.  This is such a unique perspective and our staff appreciates hearing the excellent feedback!

“We want to thank the amazing staff at Middleton Glen for all you did to make Mom & Dad’s final years infinitely more relaxed and enjoyable than they-or we!- had ever hoped.  The day they moved to MG, a huge weight was lifted for all of us.  Mom & Dad told us again & again how very glad they were to have made the move from their home on the lake of 50+ years.  That big move, at the time, a very difficult change for them to contemplate.  Your staff did a wonderful job of helping us to make their transition to apartment life as easy as it possibly could be.  We want you to know how much we appreciate all of you relieving a major portion of our worries as children.  We were grateful to be allowed to provide externally sourced care for Mom & Dad as they aged.  They enjoyed the multitude of activities offered including the musical performances and their opportunity to dance a step or two.  We appreciate, too, all the residents who befriended Mom & Dad and to the entire staff for always being so helpful and cheerful.  It has been a privilege for all of us to work with Middleton Glen and help make Mom & Dad’s time such a wonderful capstone for the successful life they built together.  Thank you SO much for everything.”
